We are extremely grateful for the commitment and dedication of our volunteers particularly in these hard times, who collectively give hundreds of hours each week to us in their various roles.

We are delighted to announce the Golf ‘Fore’ Life Tournament which is being held at Titirangi Golf Club on Tuesday 10th March this year. The tournament aims to raise money for Youth In Transition, enabling us to take on a much needed additional counsellor.

The Get Moving Festival has once again chosen Youth In Transition as its charity partner, and we’d love some volunteers to help us make the most of this opportunity!

Last night at our final group of the year we had the absolute privilege to be joined by Ven. Khadro, who lives in Nepal, following the values and life lessons of Buddhism.

The Hibiscus Coast Community House has kindly raised $500 towards new brochures for Youth In Transition.

On Sunday 8th December, the Whangaparaoa Community Hub and Business Whangaparaoa put on a fun-filled event for the local community, with lots of free activities for the children, entertainment provided by local talent, plenty of market and food stalls, and representatives from many local organisations. Youth In Transition was delighted to be involved, selling raffle tickets and holding a pop-up Op Shop with the team from The Hope Shop.

The Get Moving Festival team has once again chosen Youth In Transition as their charitable partner for their 2020 running series and entries are now open. A donation from every entry will come to the charity, plus supporters of Youth In Transition can get a generous 20% discount on entries,

As 2019 draws to an end, we’ve been looking back on what we’ve achieved over the last year and want to say a HUGE Thank You to all our volunteers and supporters.

You are invited to a free facilitator-led workshop to assist parents in the art of quality two-way communication between them and their children (all ages, including teens).

There are always so many wonderful things happening at Youth in Transition, and we are very grateful for the ongoing support of individuals, community organisations and businesses who make our work possible.

In August, Caroline from A-OK presented the internationally recognised workshop SafeTALK to 35 people at Whangaparaoa Primary.

A Very Coastie Christmas is happening again this year in Whangaparaoa to bring everyone together to celebrate, have fun and showcase what a great community we’re part of. On Sunday 8th December 12.30-3pm, various fun activities will be taking place such as face painting and bubble blowing for the kids, live music, stalls to browse and food to enjoy.
