Youth in Transition boosted by Rotary
We enjoyed a fun quiz night in May, organised jointly by Rotary Orewa and Rotary Satellite Orewa-Millwater, which raised an amazing $2,200 for Youth in Transition. Presidents of both Clubs, Sharon Maxwell and Tracey Johnson respectively, made the presentation to Tina Jones, who said, “You guys in Rotary are wonderful; you are such great friends to us and we are so grateful.” Youth in Transition relies entirely on voluntary support as it receives nothing from Government, despite increased budget spending on mental health. Tina added, “We are fortunate now in having a brand new Op Shop in Manly, where we welcome donations and shoppers equally, especially on market days, which are the first Saturday of each month.”
