The Hope Shop Opens

The Hope shop opened on Saturday July 7 to a great and enthusiastic crowd in Manly Village. Positioned just across the road from Youth in Transition this pop up op shop is a community effort for its young people.

The Hope Shop was the brainchild of Caitlin Watson and Phina Wislang, two young ladies who have supported us in so many ways. Phina volunteers for us doing a lot of administration. Caitlin sits on the local council representing youth and has a real handle on the needs of supporting young people on the coast. We are so grateful to Caitlin and her team including Sharlene, Patty, Barbara and many other gracious volunteers who have taken this whole project and run with it all on their own because they believed in it.

We were also very excited to team up with our star stylist Suzie from @mojomakeovers! Suzie is an expert in “dress for success” tips and is also a wonderful supporter. Big thanks also to Michael and Grayson from Youth in Transition who have also worked tirelessly to get The Hope Shop ready for its big opening day. We are also extremely grateful to Jonathon Rigg who provided the premises for The Hope Shop to operate.

It is exciting to report that on opening day The Hope Shop raised over $1600 with every dollar from every item sold will be going directly toward supporting Youth In Transition and our “Journey Back to Awesome Programme.”

The Hope Shop will be open EVERY Saturday and then Saturday and Sunday on the first weekend of the month to coincide with other community events. We will keep you posted on our Facebook page and other community events pages around our next opening days. In addition, if you wish to donate to the Hope Shop we can receive items of clothing at Youth in transition in Manly during the week!

Come and get your new wardrobe at the most fun Op Shop on the coast!!

Kim Manunui

Hi, I’m Kim and I work with a great team to help individuals, as well as small and not so small businesses get their message, product and services to the world using digital media and creating wonderful websites that don’t cost the earth.

I was born in Canada, and grew up around Vancouver and the mountains of British Columbia. My love of pristine environments led me to New Zealand and eventually to the mountains, lakes and rivers of the central North Island which is home. My family’s heritage is here, and it’s from here that Korio traverses the planet.

The digital world is never static and neither are we.

And I say ‘we’ because I work with an awesome group of talented people who I gather together as required to complete a project.  Whatever your business, not-for-profit or individual needs are we gather the best team to get the job done.

Collaboratively we are creative, share sustainable values and work hard for great outcomes because that’s the buzz of satisfaction that drives us.

If you have an audience and market to reach, we can make that happen. Creative design, words that work and smart behind the scenes stuff that cuts through the online noise. We’ll design your website and then build it. We’ll manage the content as well as all your hosting needs. We can handle your online advertising so you get noticed,
and we’ll manage your social media presence so you get the clicks, likes and engagement to grow your business. All within the budget you set, because none of this needs to cost the earth.  And the job doesn’t stop when your website goes live. We are your virtual business partner.
