Green Scheme Certified

The Hope Shop is very excited to be awarded their Green Scheme Certificate by Hibiscus Coast Zero Waste in association with the Auckland Council Climate Plan. Apart from the obvious ... recycling clothing, they:

• reuse all their price tags;

• ask customers if they require bags or receipts;

• ask their volunteers to use keep cups when buying hot drinks from the wonderful cafes in the village; and

• have very little personal waste, which is taken home by a volunteer and sorted.

100% of their income goes to supporting at risk youth in our own community, as they are a co-operative volunteer team.
