The Youth In Transition crew along with some extras recently joined for a learning experience in the Coromandel at the beautiful Mahamudra centre. The stress and worries of Auckland felt a long way away and the friendly volunteers made for a beautiful weekend.
Ven. Khadro’s guided us through a condensed version of bhuddist philopsophy. The 16 guidelines book provided our group with thought-provoking material for discussion and reflection. We had a rich group of thoughtful and creative people and as Khadro put it “there are’nt many people in the world talking about this stuff”.
We all took different things away with us “I have left this retreat with a deeper understanding of the values the 16 Guidelines teach us, a deeper connection to my spirituality and acceptance of myself and others.”, Youth mentors Sam Nairn commented I dont think anyone would disagree.
Youth in Transition is grateful for the opportunity to strengthen our understanding of the values we want to aspire to as taught in the 16 Guidelines.
