As 2019 draws to an end, we’ve been looking back on what we’ve achieved over the last year and want to say a HUGE Thank You to all our volunteers and supporters. Your support has enabled us to help even more young people this year in getting back into a life worth living, and for that we are extremely grateful. We currently have 158 young people in our program, and to date have helped over 400 young people and their families. We’re really proud of everything we’ve achieved this year. But none of that would have happened without your help and support. We have much more to do and planned for 2020, and your ongoing support and donations will make such a vital difference to our young people.
May we wish you a very Happy Christmas from us all at Youth In Transition.

At the end of October, Illuminate Church held a Glow Party for 600 children and their families in the local community. At the event, they had collection buckets for Youth In Transition, and we are overwhelmed by the staggering $2000 they raised for the Trust on the day. Thank you to everyone involved in organising this, and for the community for continuing to support us.
On the same night, Susan Cruickshank and team once again held a Halloween BBQ in Manly to raise funds for Youth In Transition. We are incredibly grateful for the $464 raised on the day. Thank you to the Manly residents!

Great success for A Very Coastie Christmas
On Sunday 8th December, the Whangaparaoa Community Hub and Business Whangaparaoa put on a fun-filled event for the local community, with lots of free activities for the children, entertainment provided by local talent, plenty of market and food stalls, and representatives from many local organisations. Youth In Transition was delighted to be involved, selling raffle tickets and holding a pop-up Op Shop with the team from The Hope Shop. Whilst we had showers during the day, we were thankful the sun stayed around for the event itself, ensuring all visitors were able to enjoy the attractions in the dry.
Thank you to everyone who organised such a fabulous local event, to all visitors to the Youth In Transition stand, plus everyone who purchased raffle tickets on or before the event. Thank you also to raffle sponsors: Regional Health & Beauty, Club Physical and Frankie’s Gelato & Deli.
We certainly enjoyed the day with our awesome team of volunteers – thank you in particular for all your hard work. We really couldn’t do it without you!
The Youth In Transition offices will be closed over the festive period
from 23rd December 2019 – 6th January 2020
